turbo kits?

im really tired...its late and i didnt wanna do a search for this...are there any kits for the b18c5 other the the new HKS?

So, you're too lazy to do a search for yourself yet you can post here twice within 3 hours expecting everyone else to do a search for you? Then when you don't get a response within 3 hours you get frustrated for the lack of help? Don't be such a lazy ass. www.yahoo.com or www.google.com work quite well.

But since I'm such a nice guy, I'll try to help you out. Most of the guys here are JRSC guys which is why you probably haven't gotten a response. The B18C1 is very similar to the B18C5 so most kits that fit the GSR should fit the Type R with little to no difficulty. Fmax, Greddy, Revhard kits, etc should all make a kit for your car. Better read up a lot on forced induction. Forced induction and high compression generally don't mix well. Have fun trying not to blow it up. Though something tells me you will. You don't seem smart enough not to.

BTW, this is one of the most helpful, friendliest sites on the web on ANY subject. yes, we do have a higher percentage of JRSC owners so many of us may not have a lot of knowledge to pass on as far as specific turbo kits for your application.

That being said, you are not going to rally a lot of folks to your cause by reprimanding us for not keeping you abreast of our progress in getting you the information you desire...information you admitto being to lazy to research on your own.

You have three choices.

1. Sit back and wait and see if anyone can get past the bad first impression you've made here and eventually post the information you requested.

2. Post/Think that we are all a bunch of (insert derogatory comment) and leave and we will surely not miss you.

3. Realize that you did not exercise such good judgement above and start over with a different attitude.

While I may have near ZERO knowledge on turbos, I'm sure there are several here that have can help. Thy just MAY not have been by yet or might have been put off by the tone of your posts.

Greddy, RevHard, F-MAX, Drag 3 (or the new Drag 4 if it's out).. or, if you're daring, build your own custom kit to fit your needs.

first off Marc...learn to read...i waited a day and three hours so shut the hell up. Second, i do know the high compression doesnt work well with turbos, i wasnt asking about that...i can get other low comp. pistons made jackass. and for being so friendly, you guys were sure quick to flame me. anyway, thank u to the peeps who did offer help.

if greddy makes one, its not on their site..but ill call em...and the hks kit is new...at nrg-racing.com they have it listed...no part nubmer or price so i assume its new. ill check with fmax and revhard...thanks again to those who werent complete assholes.

I installed a Drag 3 on a B18c1 and flattened the number one rod bearing and egg shaped the journal on the crank in about two weeks. I installed JE 9:1 pistons and eagle rods and I haven't had a problem since. I wouldn't run a whole lot of boost on that engine. I sold my type r to do forced induction on my gsr and I did all that damage on only 7 psi. Be careful!
